Kit Philo – Registered Psychologist NZ 90-04708 – BSoc Sci (Hons 1st) PG Dip Psychological Practice (AU)

I am a seven-year trained General Psychologist with more than 4 years’ experience within Private Hospital specialist Mood and Addiction sector (AU) and private practice including extensive training in group facilitation based on Yalom style psychotherapeutic groups.

Kit teaches her clients to make simple yet radical shifts in their relationship to the thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations that contribute to stress, anxiety and depression. Her approach is solidly grounded in current psychological research, and uses traditional Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. She also uses Mindfulness-based strategies, which research shows contribute to physical and psychological health.

NZ Registered General Psychologist.

Trained in NZ, I have worked extensively in a Private Mood Disorder Hospital in Australia running Groups and Individual counselling.

Wol is a Registered Psychologist working across the Bay Of Plenty companioning Kaupapa Maori development, and specific support for whanau/family in the pursuit of wellness.

Wol supports individuals and couples in relationship issues, developmental challenges, and accessing quality assessment for trauma, addiction, anxiety and depression.

As a local family man Wol understands the everyday issues which can challenge even the most stoic individual; his approach is of reflective companioning where together insight and hindsight can be explored to support choices and progress in life.
